This Page is "Under Construction"

Lately I’ve noticed what seems to be a frequent
mismatch between hazard and outrage; the issues which
are most hazardous (such as global warming or aids)
seem to spark little outrage while topics like Britney
shaving her head warrant countless pages of Internet
uproar and news coverage. I have come to think that
perhaps outrage is a little confused about which
hazard to attach itself to simply because it is scared
of negative feedback. Maybe people of influence avoid
upping concern about highly hazardous issues because
they don’t want to be the bearers of bad news; after
all, which outcome is more pleasant to ponder: the
effects of two men being happily married, or our
planet reaching it’s boiling point?
